Kirti Bhadresa is an author living in Calgary, Alberta (Treaty 7). Kirti has fiction and non-fiction writing in The Fiddlehead, Prairie Fire, Short Edition’s dispensers, The Sprawl, Thin Air Magazine, The Quarantine Review, and Room Magazine.  

Kirti's first book, a short story collection entitled An Astonishment of Stars, was acquired by Jen Sookfong Lee of ECW Press and will be available on October 1, 2024.

With grant funding from Canada Council for the Arts, Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Calgary Arts Development Association Kirti continues to work on subsequent fiction projects.
